On Monday, I quit my job. My health was deteriorating faster than I could recover, and I just couldn’t do it any longer. I left the office excited for the opportunity to go back to bed and get some rest, but somewhat sad that I was going to be unemployed yet again.
A couple days before that, the boyfriend and I moved from our old place to our new place. We hired movers to get the big things, but I had to pack all the little things and move them into our apartment. The boyfriend tried to make it so I didn’t have to do most of the moving, but it was definitely a two-person job and he needed my help.
Since then, I have been resting, and then resting some more. I don’t think the boyfriend has really been around since my last lupus flare, or at least it has been so many years he doesn’t remember what it’s like, so he’s always asking me how I’m doing, and he’s been a bit concerned by how much I’m sleeping. For me, this flare is nothing, so I’m just listening to my body and doing what I can to care for myself.
Next week, I’ll be back and well-rested. Don’t miss it!
To make up for it, here’s some of the songs I’ve been listening to lately. Enjoy!
